Data recovery from a dead or broken phone

The phone might be gone. The photos usually are not. They live on a storage chip that survives most drops, dunks and dead batteries, so we repair the board just long enough to get your data onto new media: free evaluation, quoted per job, no data no fee.

The phones we get data off

Will not turn on after a drop

Black screen, no charge light, no signs of life. The impact usually breaks the power side of the board, not the storage.

MOST COMMONboard-level revival

Smashed screen, phone still works

You can hear it ring but cannot see or unlock it. We fit a screen or connect a working display, then extract everything.

EASIEST CASEscreen swap or extract

Water damaged phone

Dropped in the sink, pool or ocean. Corrosion spreads by the day, so bring it in early. What to do right now.

TIME MATTERSsooner = better odds

Stuck in a boot loop

Logo, restart, logo, restart. The data is sitting right there; the phone just cannot finish starting. Often very recoverable.

GOOD ODDSdata usually intact

Old phone in a drawer

A retired handset full of photos you never backed up. Flat batteries and age can stop it booting, but the memories are still on the chip.

How the recovery runs

We do not need the phone to survive, just to live long enough to give up your data. That is the whole strategy.

Free evaluation

We find out why the phone is dead and what it will take to revive it, then quote the job. You approve before any work starts.

Board-level revival

The fault is repaired under the microscope, real micro-soldering on our own bench, just far enough to power the phone and reach the storage.

Your data, on new media

Photos, messages and files are copied to a drive you keep, or transferred straight onto your new phone. You verify it is all there at pickup.

Your data stays yours. We copy only the recovery target you ask for, nothing beyond it, and nothing is kept on our equipment after handover. Pricing is quoted per job because the fault decides the work: typical Sydney consumer recoveries run from about $150 into the several hundreds for board-level cases. And if we cannot get your data back, you pay nothing.

Phone data recovery questions

Can you recover photos from a phone that won't turn on?

Usually, yes. When a phone will not power on the fault is almost always in the power circuitry or the board, not in the storage chip where your photos live. We repair the board just long enough to bring the phone back to life, then copy your photos and files off before anything else. The evaluation is free and if we cannot get your data back you pay nothing.

Can data be recovered from a phone with a smashed screen?

Yes, and it is one of the easier cases. If the phone still works behind the broken glass we either fit a replacement screen or connect a working display long enough to unlock the phone and copy everything off. You choose whether to keep the phone repaired or just take the data.

How much does phone data recovery cost in Sydney?

It is quoted per job after the free evaluation, because the fault decides the work: a screen swap to reach your data is a very different job to reviving a dead board. Typical Sydney consumer phone recoveries run from about $150 into the several hundreds for board-level cases. You approve the quote before any work starts, and no data means no fee.

Is my data safe and private during recovery?

Yes. Your data stays yours. We copy only the recovery target you ask for, such as photos and messages, nothing beyond it, and nothing is kept on our equipment after handover. The work happens on our own bench in Sydney, not sent away.

Can you recover deleted messages and photos?

Honestly, it depends. Data that has been deleted and then overwritten is often gone for good, and we will not pretend otherwise. But data on a dead device is a different story: it is usually still intact and recoverable once the device is revived, because nothing was ever deleted, the phone just stopped being able to show it to you.
