Port looks perfect, good cable, still nothing. The charge IC on the board has failed, and that is micro-soldering we do in house rather than a reason to write the phone off.

How the repair runs
On most modern phones the charging port is soldered to the main board, so a proper replacement is bench work with a microscope, not a snap-in part.
Free diagnosis, clean first
The port is inspected and cleaned under magnification, the cable and charger are ruled out, and the battery is tested too. If the clean fixes it, that is the answer you get.
Board-level replacement
When the port is worn or damaged, the board comes out and the old port is desoldered and replaced under the microscope, then the connector area is sealed and reassembled.

Charge rate, data transfer and connector fit are all tested before pickup. The part and the workmanship are covered by our warranty.

Charging port questions
Why does my phone only charge at an angle?
Nine times out of ten the port is packed with pocket lint, compressed a little harder every time the cable goes in, until the plug cannot seat properly. The rest of the time the port itself is worn or the pins are damaged. A free inspection under magnification tells you which within minutes.
Can a charging port be cleaned instead of replaced?
Yes, and often that is the whole fix. If careful cleaning under magnification gets the port seating and charging like new, that is what we tell you, and you have not bought a repair you did not need. If the port is worn or damaged, you get a fixed quote for the replacement before any work starts.

How do I know if it is the port or the battery?
A port fault plays up with the cable: charging only at an angle, only with pressure, or not at all. A battery fault charges fine but dies early or shuts down cold. The free diagnosis tests both, and if it turns out to be the battery you are looking at a replacement from $105 instead.
My phone says liquid detected in the charging port. What now?
Stop charging and let the port dry naturally before you plug in again, and never override the warning with power connected. If the warning keeps appearing days after any contact with moisture, there may be corrosion in the port or on the board, and that is worth a free inspection before it spreads.
