PS5 HDMI port repair in Sydney
Console powers on, TV says no signal. Nine times out of ten that is a damaged HDMI port, and it is a board-level repair we do on our own bench: free diagnosis, fixed quote, no fix no fee.
The signs it is the HDMI port
Power but no picture
White light on, controller connects, TV reports no signal on every input you try.
MOST COMMONport or encoder
Loose or wobbly cable
The plug no longer clicks in firmly, or the picture flickers when the cable moves.
PORT WEARcaught early = cheaper
Bent or broken pins
Look inside the port with a torch. Bent, flattened or missing pins mean the port itself is damaged.
PHYSICAL DAMAGEport replacement
Worked until the console moved
Dropped, yanked by the cable, or crushed in transit. The port takes the impact so the board usually survives.

How the repair runs
This is genuine micro-soldering, not a cable swap. The board comes out, the damaged port is desoldered under the microscope, the pads are cleaned and a new port is fitted and tested.
Free diagnosis
We confirm it is the port and not the HDMI encoder chip or power side, then quote you a fixed price.
Board-level replacement
Old port off, pads inspected and repaired if needed, new port on. Done with hot air and a microscope, not guesswork.
Test and warranty
Full picture and stress test before pickup. The part and the workmanship are covered by our warranty.
Our price is $159 fitted, parts and labour included, far less than a new console and with no postage gamble. Your fixed quote is confirmed with the free diagnosis. If it turns out the fault is deeper in the board, that is micro-soldering territory we also handle, and you approve any quote before work starts.
Our prices
Fitted on our Sydney bench. eBay mail-in services charge about the same, then add postage both ways and days without your console.
Fitted prices: parts, labour and our workmanship warranty included. Free diagnosis first, your fixed quote before any work, and no fix means no fee.
PS5 HDMI questions
Can a PS5 HDMI port be repaired?
Yes. The HDMI port is soldered to the PS5 mainboard, so it is replaced at board level: the damaged port is desoldered under the microscope and a new genuine-spec port is fitted. It is one of the most common and most fixable PS5 faults.
How do I know it is the HDMI port and not something else?
Typical signs are a console that powers on with no picture, a loose or wobbly connector, bent pins visible inside the port, or a picture that cuts out when the cable moves. Diagnosis is free, so if it turns out to be the HDMI encoder chip or the TV side instead, you find out before spending anything.
How much does PS5 HDMI port repair cost in Sydney?
Across Sydney this repair typically runs between about $130 and $200. We give you a fixed quote after the free diagnosis, before any work starts, and if we cannot fix it you pay nothing.
How long does the repair take?
Most PS5 HDMI port replacements are turned around in 1 to 2 days once the console is on the bench. We confirm the timeframe with your quote.
Will a board-level repair void my warranty?
If your PS5 is still inside Sony's warranty period, use the official channel first for a free repair. Most HDMI damage is physical and not covered by Sony anyway. Out of warranty, a board-level repair costs far less than replacing the console and our workmanship is warranted.
